For this music piece, I used GarageBand. When creating this piece, I wanted a feel for many different types of music, such as bluegrass and a coffee house feeling. I enjoy all types of music, so I incorporated all types into my music.
I used many different loops to make this piece, but spent a long time trying to find loops that worked together with each other. As I finished a section, I thought, what would flow smooth but still be different. I decided to use an ABABC pattern.
In the beginning, I start out with Bongo Grove 05, and then I added Orchestra Strings. After that, I added Latin Lounge Piano 01 and Acoustic Noodling 03. These all sounded like a coffee house gig, and it sounded different than most music. Latin Lounge Piano 01 cuts out, and a measure later Pop Piano 01 comes in. Everything cuts out except Acoustic Noodling 03, which cuts as I transition to Bluegrass.
I started out with Blues Harmonica 08, which is soon followed by Strummed Acoustic 02, the Rural Banjo 01. These were complete opposites from the first part and sounded better than other loops together. Strummed Acoustic 02 cuts out, but then comes back in before the Bluegrass section is over and I repeat the Coffee House section. I repeat both the Coffee House and the Bluegrass section before finally going into the Synths section. I start with 80s Dance Bass Synth 06, before switching between 06 and 07 and adding in Electro Beat 01, Pluck Synth 03, and Shaker 17, soon followed by Electronic Drum Beat 03. Pluck Synth 03 comes in and out throughout the segment, making it flow really well. Overall, I am very happy with my music piece.

I created this song using Garage Band. This song is a mixture of bluegrass, orchestra, and 80’s pop music. That is the ultimate reason the name of the song is what it is. I play the banjo and saxophone for a hobby so I enjoy listening and making bluegrass music and any other kind of music.
I started by listening to various loops and narrowing down my ideas for the overall structure of the song. When I found a loop I liked, I thought of how I could include it and I put the loop in accordingly.
Most of the song the loops are mixed but their are brief parts of one single loop. First I combined “Rural Banjo 4” with “Southern Beat 1” and “Southern Base 4” for 3 measures. I combined these three loops to give a bluegrass feel.
Then, I combined “Southern Beat 1” and “Southern Bass 04” for 2 measures. I did this to keep the listener grooving as we moved to the end of the bluegrass section and into the transition to orchestra section.
I used “Southern Beat 1” and “ Lounge Jazz 06” for 2 measures. I used these to help transition from the bluegrass section to the orchestra section.
After that I included “Southern Beat 01”, “Lounge Jazz 06”, and “Orchestra Strings 05.” This is the beginning of Orchestra section of the piece. Following that, I put 2 measures of “Orchestra Strings 05.”
This gives this part of my song a dramatic sound using the strings by itself. After this, I included 3 ⅓ measures of “Orchestra Strings 08” and “Orchestra Strings 05.” This is the main part of the Orchestra section. Then, there are 2 measures of “Orchestra Strings 08,” this ends the orchestra section and leads us to the 80’s dance music.
This section contains 3 loops of 80’s “Dance Bass Synth 06,” “80’s Dance Bass Synth 07,” “80’s Dance Bass Synth 06,” and “80’s Dance Bass Synth 10.” This is my personal favorite part of the song because it just sounds so cool! Next, the section contains 6 loops of “Chordal Synth 01” and 4 loops of “Chordal Synth Pattern 04” along with 3 loops of “Dance Floor Pattern 13.” This is the conclusion of my song thank you for listening!
